Course Information and Maps

Swim Course

The swim course is a 950m clockwise loop of a triangular course. The turns are marked with large circular orange buoys with triangular orange buoys marking the straights. The Standard distance does one loop and the Half distance does two loops.

Half Run Course

The 21K Half distance run course leaves transition on a gravel trail and loops through a town before heading out of town on the Gordon River Main. The course turns around at 3.5K up the Gordon River Main then turns right onto the 19 Creek Main. The course turns around again at the Pacific Marine Road and returns on 19 Creek Main, right on Gordon River Main, left on South Shore Road and right on Park Avenue to the finish.

Standard Run Course

The standard run course follows the same route as the Half run course but turns around on 19 Creek Main 4.5K before the Pacific Marine Road.

Half Bike Course

The Half bike course is a 90K clockwise loop of gravel forestry roads south of Lake Cowichan. The course leaves Honeymoon Bay on the Gordon River Main, TR 10, left on M13, right on the McLure Main, right on the Caycuse Main, right on South Shore Road back to Honeymoon Bay .

Standard Bike Course

The Standard bike course is a 42K loop. It leaves Honeymoon Bay on Gordon River Main, turning right onto Caycuse Crossover, then right onto South Shore Road to return to Honeymoon Bay. The Standard bike route follows the same roads to and from transition as the Half bike course while avoiding the climbs in the middle of the course. It is a much easier course for grade than the Half bike course.
