Honeymoon Bay is a popular tourist destination in the summer. There are a number of options available for accommodations for the race, from local tourist accommodations to nearby hotels and motels to camping options.

Camping is a popular option in the area. There are a number of public and forestry campgrounds around Lake Cowichan. There is a large government run campground at Gordon Bay, approximately one kilometre from the race venue. It tends to book up quickly for the summer so reserving early is recommended.
